Day 30
I'm thankful for my brother. We were 2 years apart growing up, and fought all the time. We get along much better now that we don't live under the same roof. I know I can always depend on him. He makes me smile.

32 Weeks and 1 Day
How far along? 32 weeks plus a day. We have to make sure we count that extra day. That's weird, right? That people do that. Anyways....more importantly....
Size of Baby: According to thebump.com, little baby is the size of a squash! Still growing, your baby weighs in at about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches.
According to huggies, baby looks something like this......
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am + 10 pounds since the start of pregnancy. That makes my total for the last month +6. I am not super excited about that. It also makes my weight on the scale much higher than my weight SHOULD ever be. You know, because I was fat before I got pregnant.
Maternity Clothes: I really just wear scrub pants and maternity tshirts. On the weekends, I wear jeans and tshirts. Some of my tshirts are maternity and some are not. There is no dressing up these days. Mostly because my comfy shoes are tennis shoes...or flip flops....
Gender: Allegedly, girl. We're not convinced. I guess I should elaborate. We've had conflicting ultrasounds with gender. I cheated. I have a friend that does ultrasounds. Her first look was clearly.....
And then we went for our anatomy scan and the tech was all like....
Belly Button In/Out: I think it's staying in, but it is really starting to hurt.
Stretch Marks: I'm not even sweating stretch marks at this point. I got them last time. It's NBD.
Labor Signs: Negative.
Movement: Homegirl is a mover and a shaker. She wiggles fairly frequently. It's starting to get more painful.
Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty well. I'm spending more nights on the couch which I also did with HC. I have spent way less overall time on the couch this time.
Cravings/Aversions: I don't really have any. Just hungry.
Symptoms: I have to pee....all the time. I'm tired. I'm grouchy. You know, the usual.
Feeling: I feel great.
Best Moment this Week: Thanksgiving was awesome. That was in the last week or so.
What I Miss: This week, I caught a case of HC's daycare crud...I was really missing my motrin...and some whiskey....
What I am Looking Forward To: I finally ordered something for the nursery, so I guess I'm getting more excited about baby coming. Not that I wasn't excited before. I was just overwhelmed.
All I've ordered is a rug, and I ordered it from zulily so I know it will be awhile, but my mom is going to make us some crib bedding to match this awesome rug.
Milestones: I'm happy that baby and mommy are happy and healthy. I'm super excited that my bp at this appointment was 100/70.
Next Appointment: 3 weeks. GBS testing...booo.....

Day 29
Today, I'm thankful for my ob-gyn. I know that that's weird. With HC, my pregnancy was not so easy and I had a very anal ob-gyn who made me....stressed. She was very uptight and by the book, and nothing I did ever seemed quite right. I feel like I became so stressed about going to the ob-gyn for my prenatal check ups that it led to further issues, such as white coat hypertension, etc.
I should have changed doctors when I realized I didn't like this practice.
I thought it was too late. Moron.
When I got pregnant again so quickly, I went back to my original gynecology practice where I was comfortable with an ARNP. No more of this ob from hell bullshit.
That would have been ok, but my ARNP couldn't see me. I had a high-risk pregnancy after all.
So, that's when I met Dr. Awesome. He was my supervising physician when I had all these ovarian problems in my early 20s. (Uhm. I just said early 20s. WEIRD.) I never met him then because I had the amazing ARNP.
Now, Dr. Awesome and I have been seeing each other for about 8 months, and I adore him. Even if he's a yucky man who gets all up in my business.
I had a prenatal check-up today. That's what prompted my post about Dr. Awesome. FYI.

Day 28
Today, I am thankful for plumbers. After several days without, we now have a working kitchen sink and dishwasher again.

Giving Thanks
Day 25-- Today, I am super thankful for my dad. He dropped what he was doing yesterday to come help my husband solve (actually, break more) some of our plumbing problems. Our kitchen sink won't drain. He then invited us to dinner so we wouldn't have to eat out, because I'm not washing dishes in the bathtub. I am too pregnant for that.
Day 26-- Today, I'm thankful for adult Tylenol, and not so thankful for cold and flu season. I feel like dirt and stayed home from work. While I would really like some Motrin and a shot of whiskey, I'll accept the Tylenol.

Day 24
I'm so thankful for college football :)
You guys know the drill, I find all my photos on google images :)
Friday, November 23, 2012
I'm still thankful....
but sometimes life gets in the way. I know. Ridiculous. I should be ashamed of myself. I'm going to back track and update my thankful-ness.
Day 17: I'm thankful for great friends who throw good get-togethers. The hubs and I had a great time at a barbeque hosted by our nearest and dearest friends.
Day 18: I'm thankful for a superflexible work schedule. I chose to work today, so I didn't have to work later in the week.
Day 19: I'm thankful for my education. I know my parents worked hard to provide me with an education with minimal cost on my part. I've been pricing things out for HC's college fund, and ugh, I'm not excited, but I know it'll be worth it.
Day 20: I'm thankful for my dear, sweet doggies. We have 2. They were our kids before HC and I adore them.
Day 21: I'm thankful for baby Tylenol which has made this day much more bearable. Having sick babies is the pits.
Day 22: I'm thankful for my amazing in-laws and extended family and all the people that we got to spend some time with today.
Day 23: I'm thankful that we can afford the gifts I want to get for my amazing daughter despite the fact that we missed them at black Friday.
When writing this post, I realized I've spent a lot of time being thankful for food. That may be because I'm pregnant or it may be because I'm fat. Either way, yum.
Also, let me follow up on a few things. One of the reasons I haven't blogged this week is because I've been stupid busy. Thanksgiving. My husband has been off all week, and I may be a little jealous, but we've had a sick baby since Tuesday night. She's been coughing and congested and had goop in her eyes. It's really been quite sad.
In a newer story, we are also now having plumbing problems. The kitchen sink won't drain and it's backing up into the dishwasher. We're trying amateur plumbing techniques hoping to solve the problem, but so far we have been SOL. Suggestions are appreciated.
Sorry for the whirlwind. I'll try to keep you guys updated!

Day 14
Today, I am thankful for my girlfriends. It's nice to have a bitch fest every once in awhile. Thanks for listening.
30 Weeks Pregnant! How does this happen?
How far along? 30 Weeks....62 days until my scheduled csection....
Size of Baby: According to thebump.com, the baby is about the size of a CUCUMBER? WHAT?? I mean, I had to look that up. When I was pregnant with HC, I sent hubs a text that said, "This week your baby is the size of a......" and this time, the only text he gets are regarding what's for dinner....I can't believe this kid is the size of a cucumber.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am + 4 pounds since the start of pregnancy. My supportive husband says things like, I don't see how..... Thanks babe.
Maternity Clothes: I really just wear scrub pants and maternity tshirts. On the weekends, I wear jeans.
Gender: Allegedly, girl. We're not convinced.
Belly Button In/Out: I think it's staying in.
Stretch Marks: I'm not even sweating stretch marks at this point. I got them last time. It's NBD.
Labor Signs: Negative.
Movement: Homegirl is a mover and a shaker. She wiggles fairly frequently.
Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty well. I even slept through my bathroom trip one night this week.
Cravings/Aversions: I don't really have any. Just hungry.
Symptoms: I have to pee....all the time. I'm tired. I'm grouchy. You know, the usual.
Feeling: I feel great.
Best Moment this Week: We're taking this day by day.
What I Miss: Beer!!
What I am Looking Forward To: Beer!! 62 days!
Milestones: Baby is still cooking :)
Next Appointment: A week after Thanksgiving!

Day 13
When I started this 30 days of thankful project, I really felt like I would be super serious and get in touch with everything I take for granted in my life.
As we're nearing mid-project, I've decided I'm going to be honest!
Today I'm thankful for CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKES.

Day 12
Today,
I am so thankful for my big, warm, comfortable, amazing bed. I'm thankful that I'm able to share a bed with my awesome husband, and that three's a roof over my bed. Really though, I'm thankful for my bed.
I'm exhausted.
Why am I exhausted you ask? (Of course, you asked!)
I'm not sure. I slept last night. Like a dead body. I woke up to the alarm going off at 6:20, and I was disoriented. My husband was not the snoring, warm body beside me. No, that was the dog. My husband was out of bed? What? Why is my husband out of bed for my 2:00 A.M. pee break?? Why did the alarm go off for my pee break?? WHAT?? Why is the sun out?? What do you mean it's time for me to get out of bed?? Yes, that was pretty much the progression of confusion this morning.
We're watching the voice right now. And we, as in, I'm blogging/playing on the computer and the hubs is watching the voice. We will then be greeting my amazing, wonderful, fabulous bed again.
In other news, no preparation has been made towards baby number 2. Yes, I am aware of the fact that my repeat c section is in 64 days.
Also, the snoring dog I was snuggling with just gave me looks to kill while I was singing along with the voice contestant.

Day 11
Today, I am so thankful for our service men.
Not only do they leave their families for months at a time and sometimes multiple times, they leave their families with no guarantee that they'll come back.
I am thankful to the men and women who risk their lives to ensure our safety.
I am thankful to the families that have lost men and women for our safety.

I am so so thankful for my amazing momma. I know she'd drop everything she was doing to help me. Love her!

Day Eight
I'm thankful for a healthy pregnancy. It wasn't in my plans, but I know my plans aren't always the important ones.
Love little baby girl.

Currently
I read on a blog about another blog that has a cool link-up called Currently, so we're going to give it a shot.
I am currently:
I am currently:
- Anticipating: A fair amount. Most short-term, the weekend and a quick trip to see my brother. In a more long-term sense, I'm anticipating the holidays, the birth of a baby girl, and a little bit of time off work for some newborn snuggles.
- Buying: Nothing really. I'm having serious decision making issues with regards to new baby, so we haven't bought much. I did buy a crib and a double stroller off of Craig's list awhile ago. Other than that, we need to start looking at buying holiday gifts.
- Needing: Oh, the pre-baby to-do list is quite lengthy as is the work to-do list. I'm just having some motivational issues. And some time constraints. And some energy issues. I guess the most pressing things we need are to finish my paperwork (work) and a place for baby to sleep (home.)
- Thinking: that I have to pee. Shocker.
- Ignoring: the fact that I have to pee.

Day Seven
Today, I am thankful for a place to go where I can express myself. I may not be the most dedicated blogger, but I'm trying. I want to be a blogger that everyone wants to read about. In fact, that's why I'm posting my 30 days of thanks here. I was hoping to get more in the habit of posting.
If you read my blog, do me a favor and comment. Let me know :)
Thanks for stopping by.

Day 5
Today, I am thankful for a job.
With the economy the way it is, I know that many people are struggling to make ends meet. I have been blessed with a job, and I am to provide for myself and my family.
Not only do I have a job, but I have a job I love. I'm able to help people and see progress with what I do. My co-workers are supportive and caring.
I'm grateful that I have this job.

Day Four
Religion is something I have struggled with my whole adult life. I had trouble believing in a God that lets innocent children and animals be abused by their caretakers. Within the last few years, I've noticed that while my beliefs were not clear to me, I still reached out to God. I've also noticed that my prayers have been answered. This may be what I needed to push me into the believer category, but either way....
I am thankful for a loving God. I'm thankful for a merciful God. I'm thankful for an awesome God.

Day Three
Today, I am thankful for my husband actually start this post on the right day. I just didn't have time to devote the energy it needs.
Basically, my husband is a rock star for a number of reasons:
Basically, my husband is a rock star for a number of reasons:
- He puts up with my crap. That says a lot because I hear I'm not the easiest person to get along with.
- In addition to him putting up with my crap, I know he loves me unconditionally.
- He loves our baby girl and I know he will do anything in his power to keep her safe.
- He makes me laugh, but its not always intentional. On top of that, he laughs at himself...and at me. We both are pretty good at doing stupid stuff.
- He's a family man.
- He's there for me, no matter what.
- He knows that we aren't perfect and neither is our relationship, but that's ok.
- I love him. Period.

Day Two
Today, I am thankful for my otter box. She was dedicated, and gave her life to save my phone.
In other news, the post about my dog and how thankful I am for her has been moved to later in the month.

Day One
I am thankful for my amazing daughter. I know this is probably cliche, and everyone is thankful for their kids, but really, my daughter is amazing.
In the thirteen months that she's been here on this Earth and for the 9 months we spent together prior, she has taught be a ton about myself, about my ability to love and care, and about life.
She's pretty awesome and easy to love, but she has days when she's not so easy. Those are the days when I know she's made me a better person.
